CONCORD, NH — Richard Marcel Mason, born 1986, of Concord, was arrested at 2:34 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2019, on a sale of a controlled drug charge.

Austin Christopher Shelton, 24, homeless, was arrested at 5:18 p.m. on Dec. 10 on a possession of a felony controlled drug charge and a bench warrant. Officers were sent to an apartment building on Loudon Road for a report of a juvenile issue. While there, the officer was told by another resident that a man, later identified as Shelton, was near the entrance of the building but shouldn't be. After questioning him, Shelton was found to have an electronic bench warrant on two felony theft charges and was placed in handcuffs. An officer accused Shelton of being in possession of a brown powdery substances in his coat pocket. An affidavit accused Shelton of admitting that the powder was heroin. He was arrested and held. According to a second affidavit, the theft charges involved two Ruger LC9 handguns, a pink one and a black one, stolen from Windham Drive in April. During an interview, Shelton was questioned about the missing guns but police said he denied being involved, pointing to another person. Later, the report alleged that Shelton blamed two men from Massachusetts setting up a deal where he would steal the guns in exchange for money that he could use to purchase a Play Station 4. He was accused in the report of stealing the guns, handing them over to two men in Keach Park, but he never got the money, according to the affidavit. The affidavit stated that Shelton said the men with the guns left without paying him.
