Less than 48 hours later, an officer, sergeant, and New Hampshire State Trooper were sent to an apartment on South Main Street for a report of an intoxicated man who had “walked through a building and fallen over a gate.” The man, McGuire-Wiegand, reportedly was covered in blood all over his head, neck, and chest. “He said that he was running from someone, but didn’t say who and why,” the officer alleged. “Jared appeared to be despondent and confused. Jared was hesitant before answering my questions and didn’t tell me much.” Concord Fire and Rescue teams arrived, and treated and transported McGuire-Wiegand to the hospital. Police then spoke to witnesses. One alleged that he was in bed with his girlfriend when he heard a noise outside and later, someone saying that there was a person in their apartment. The detective and officer exchanged video and booking photos of Brearley, and then a warrant was issued on March 3. Brearley was later charged while being held at the Valley Street Jail.
