Concord Police Log: Man Allegedly Assaults, Threatens to Kill Girlfriend

Plus, Manchester, Weare women charged with issuing bad checks; Warner man arrested on bench warrant.

Melissa R. Clark, 44, of Cedar Street in Manchester, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. on Jan. 25, on a bench warrant and an issuing bad checks charge from July 22, 2013, at Apple House Furniture on Village Street in Penacook. The warrant was out of Concord District Court for nonpayment of a fine, $614 cash to settle. Clark is due in court on March 16.

Joshua D. Gosselin, 19, of Heartwood Lane in Concord, was arrested at noon on Jan. 25, on driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration charges after a crash in the parking lot of Cumberland Farms on Fisherville Road. His license was suspended on Jan. 18, for default of motor vehicle summons. Gosselin is due in court on March 16.

Troy G. Minard, 25, of Micol Road in Pembroke, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. on Jan. 25, for suspended registration after being stopped for speeding (55 mph in a 30 zone) on Manchester Street. Minard’s license was suspended on Dec. 26, 2014, for an unpaid fee.

Nilson De Oliveira, 48, of Valley Street in Manchester, received a summons at 2:35 a.m. on Jan. 25, for operating without a valid license after being pulled over for a defective driver’s side brake light. His license expired on Dec. 5, 2013. He’s due in court on March 2.

Pooja Attri, 27, of Ty Lane in Concord, received a summons at 12:14 a.m. on Jan. 25, for operating without a valid license after a traffic stop for a plate light out on North Main Street. She’s due in court on Feb. 23.

Cody J. Camirand, 21, of East Side Drive in Concord, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. on Jan. 24, on a warrant. The warrant was for conduct after an accident on Aug. 1, 2014, in Manchester. He was at home at the time, arrested, and released to Manchester Police.

Paul G. Fawcett, 45, of Pinehurst Street in Concord, was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 24, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge after a fender bender on Pinehurst Street. Fawcett reportedly told the officer that he wasn’t driving the car because he knew he didn’t have a license but backed out so the parking lot could be plowed. He lost his license on Dec. 26, 2014, for default court summons, and was arrested. After arriving at the station, the officer found out that Fawcett was cited on Jan. 17, for operating after suspension. He’s due in court on Feb. 23.

Calodro Braxton, 43, of Heartwood Lane in Concord, was arrested at 12:19 a.m. on Jan. 24, and charged with domestic violence, domestic violence-simple assault, obstructing the report of a crime or injury, domestic violence- obstructing the report of a crime or injury, and possession of controlled drugs. Officers were called to Heartwood Lane for a past tense domestic assault incident with a victim calling from a neighbor’s apartment. When they arrived, they saw a man with a cellphone in the hallway, ordered him to stop, and he did. Officers interviewed the victim who alleged that Braxton, her fiancée, was drinking, became intoxicated, and the two began arguing. He allegedly “came at her and punched her in the forehead with his fist” and then “pushed her to the ground and held her down by the neck.” The woman punched him to get him off, grabbed her cellphone, and threatened to call police. Braxton allegedly grabbed the phone and it fell to the ground. The woman then fled to a neighbor’s apartment and called police. Braxton reportedly told police that she came at him and hit him in the face but couldn’t tell the officer where exactly on the face he was hit. “No marks were observed on his face and (Braxton) denied ever striking (the victim),” according to the report. Braxton was allegedly in possession of marijuana and was arrested and held without bail.

Norman A. Borry, 42, of Farrell Loop in Warner, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. on Jan. 23, on bench warrant out of Hillsborough District Court from Oct. 8, 2014, for simple assault, $302.50 cash bail. An officer running checks on licenses on Water Street checked a Chevrolet SUV and found that the registered owner, Borry, had a suspended driver’s license.

Donald L. Buffum, 34, of Garvins Falls Road in Concord, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. on Jan. 23, on a resisting arrest or detention charge. Officers and fire and rescue teams were called to a report of a man on the ground on South Street. The man, Buffum, was told that he would be taken into protective custody due to his alleged impairment. However, he allegedly resisted, and was told “several times to stop resisting” but didn’t and was later arrested.

Tammy L. Sweatt, 47, of Barnard Hill Road in Weare, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on Jan. 23, on two felony counts of issuing bad checks to the Capital Area Vet Emergency Services (CAVES) on Intervale Road. Sweatt is due in court on March 2.

Brian Ross, 35, of Thompson Street in Concord, was arrested at 12:25 p.m. on Jan. 23, on two counts of possession of controlled drugs, one a felony, from Dec. 26, 2014. Ross is due in court on March 9.

Kenneth W. Ray, 54, of Fayette Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 23, on a stalking charge from Nov. 8, 2014. Ray was already in jail and was arraigned on Jan. 26.

Heather M. Martel, 23, of Boulder Circle in Allenstown, was arrested at 10:52 a.m. on Jan. 23, on a bench warrant, and driving after revocation or suspension and suspended registration charges after an accident on Centre Street. Martel was wanted by Manchester District Court for nonappearance in court, $154 cash to settle. She’s due in court on March 2.

Jeffrey A. White, 53, of Concord Street in Concord, was arrested at 2:35 a.m. on Jan. 23, on two bench warrants. The warrants were for breach of bail charges on Sept. 5, 2014, and Dec. 5, 2014, with $776 cash to settle. White was arrested during an officer’s “park and talk” at the McDonald’s Restaurant on South Main Street and saw a man sleeping in one of the booths. Restaurant employees stated that he had been asleep for “multiple hours and would not stay awake.” The man, White, had active warrants and was arrested.

William H. Amsler IV, 29, of Canton Circle in Concord (pictured), was arrested at 9:40 p.m. on Jan. 16, 2015, and charged with second-degree assault, a felony, two counts of domestic violence-simple assault, simple assault, and criminal mischief. Officers were sent to a domestic disturbance on Canton Circle and found a woman and three children crying outside. “Stop daddy before he kills mommy,” they screamed to the reporting officer. The woman alleged that her boyfriend, Amsler, had allegedly threatened to kill her during a physical argument. The officers went upstairs and spoke to Amsler but alleged that it was “not clear what he was doing” and was not responding to the first officer. Outside, the victim alleged that the two were fighting about the children and Amsler allegedly yelled at her about sleeping all day. He later allegedly choked her and pushed her against a sink, according to the report. “I could not breathe,” she reportedly told the officer. She said she feared for her life after he allegedly stated, “I’m going to kill you.” Amsler allegedly pushed her into a kitchen table and she fell and hit her head on the bottom of a stove. The victim was able to break free while kicking and swinging at Amsler. The officer also noticed marks on her neck and scratches on her chest. During an interview with Amsler, he reportedly confirmed the arguing about one of the children but alleged that the victim swung at him first. After speaking with witnesses, who backed up the victim’s allegation, Amsler was arrested. He’s due in court on March 2.
