CONCORD, NH — A warrant has been issued against a Loudon felon after he skipped arraignment on robbery, deadly weapon threat, theft, and other charges after an incident at Walmart in Concord in mid-March.

Darrel S. Bousquet, 37, of Ford Terrace in Loudon was arrested at 5:08 p.m. on June 21 as well as robbery, criminal threatening-deadly weapon, criminal trespass, theft by unauthorized taking-less than $1,000, resisting arrest or detention charges, and warrants.

Police were sent to the store around 10:45 p.m. on March 17 for a report of a possible robbery without much description of the suspect.

The first responding officer searched the area and went into the store to watch the surveillance video and spoke to two employees.

The employees accused the suspect of concealing items inside his jacket pockets and removing spider wrapping off other items. The officer said they had no evidence of the man paying for the items and they were not recovered. The man then abandoned a cart, at some point, paid for one item, and left the store, a report said.

One of the employees approached the man and claimed he said, “Get out of my face before I punch you,” an affidavit said. The second employee followed the man out to the parking lot and accused him saying, “I will get my brother here and pepper spray you,” the report said. The employee said the man pulled out a knife and said, “I will cut you and your throat out,” an affidavit said.

The value of the items was around $52. The officer said there were language barrier issues with the witnesses, but after watching the video, the man was “gesturing in his direction like he was going to strike him.” The two employees followed him out of the store, and he removed something from his pants and “jerked toward” one of the employees.

“I was unable to see what this item was due to the video quality,” the officer wrote. “But based on (the) statement, I believe it was the knife.”

One of the employees emailed a photo of the suspect, and the officer identified him as Bousquet “based on numerous prior contacts.” Two days before, the report said another officer dealt with him on a separate issue. The reporting officer also noted Bousquet was trespassed from the store in June 2022.

On March 25, the officer saw Bousquet on Manchester Street wearing similar clothing he was wearing during the robbery at Walmart. The officer approached him and asked him why he robbed the store. Bousquet was accused of denying he was involved in a robbery. After telling him there was a video of him pulling a knife out of his pocket toward an employee, Bousquet said he paid for a single item and left a cart full of other items in the store, the report said. He denied again taking anything out of the store or threatening the employees, an affidavit said and countered that the employees were threatening him. When asked why he was at the store if he was trespassed, Bousquet said he thought the order had ended.

On April 11, a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Bousquet had a bail hearing in Merrimack County Superior Court on Aug. 2. He was released on personal recognizance. Bousquet had a disposition hearing on Aug. 8 and was due to be arraigned on Thursday but failed to appear.

A warrant was issued for his arrest.

According to superior court records, Bousquet was accused of forgery in Concord in Aug. 2011. The charge was nolle prossed in March 2013.

Last year, he was accused of drug possession, driving after revocation or suspension-subsequent, and controlled drug: control premises where drugs were kept after an incident in Epsom. Bousquet pleaded guilty to one felony drug charge on June 22 and was given a 12-month sentence, suspended for two years, and a $434 fine.

In early July, he was arrested on a theft charge out of Rochester, a felony due to two prior convictions. The charge stemmed from an incident on May 6. Bousquet also failed to appear at that arraignment on Thursday, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Other arrests featured on Patch previously include warrants, loitering or prowling, mischief, assault, meth and fentanyl possession, and other charges.
