Since the incident occurred and tips rolled in about the case, investigators attempted to find others who may have reportedly been involved. One person – Engelhardt – was alleged to have been the getaway car driver. A family member – according to an affidavit – alleged that Engelhardt told them that at the time of the robbery, he had been driving in the area. The family member alleged that the person being driven to the area at the time of the robbery was Clough, according to an interview after the incident.
Just before Clough was arrested, detectives, along with U.S. Marshals, and Allenstown and Franklin Police, arrested Engelhardt for a probation violation as well as another suspect – Arianna Beaulieu – on warrants related to a stolen firearm.

During an interview with Engelhardt at Franklin Hospital, he allegedly admitted to borrowing a Toyota Camry from an Epsom teen with Clough and Beaulieu, who was dropped off at Planet Fitness on Fort Eddy Road, just before the robbery incident. Engelhardt then allegedly drove Clough to the area of the store, and dropped him off. After Clough allegedly robbed the store, he called Engelhardt to have him pick him up.
“Engelhardt drove them from the area to (the Camry owner’s) residence in Epsom,” the detective alleged. “They would later purchase drugs with some of the proceeds from this robbery.”
The next day, detectives spoke to Beaulieu in jail and she reportedly stated that they picked up Clough on North Main Street but denied being at Planet Fitness. She allegedly stated she was in the vehicle during the robbery, according to the court document.
“Beaulieu said that while driving to Loudon Road, Engelhardt handed Clough the black BB gun that he would use to commit the robbery,” according to detectives. “Beaulieu said when they were on East Side Drive, heading south, Engelhardt and Clough decided that he would rob the Walgreens because it appeared to be empty.”
A few days after being arrested, detectives went to speak with Clough and he allegedly admitted to the robbery and alleged that Engelhardt drove him to the Walgreens.
“Clough said that while en route to this area, Engelhardt pointed a gun at him and told him that he would commit the robbery at Walgreens,” the report alleged. “Clough said Engelhardt gave him the black BB gun with the green night sight dots and the black bandana with a western style design to aid in the commission of the robbery. Clough said that Engelhardt told him to steal a package of Marlboro black 100s (his brand) as well.”
Clough allegedly handed the cash and ciggies to Engelhardt, according to the report.
Engelhardt was convicted of driving after revocation in Hooksett District Court in August 2015 after his license was suspended in April 2015 for failure to pay court fees. He was also arrested by police in April of this year for driving after revocation or suspension. In June, the detective filed an affidavit against Engelhardt for the driving charge and conspiracy to commit the robbery. He was arrested in October.
Engelhardt, according to reports on Patch, has a long criminal history including arrests for felony organized retail crime enterprise, speeding, false report to law enforcement, disobeying an officer, and driving after revocation or suspension, conduct after an accident, fraudulent use of a credit card, receiving stolen property, simple assault, resisting arrest or detention, reckless conduct, criminal threatening, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, conspiracy to commit, default or breach of bail conditions, and numerous warrants.
