More Concord Candidates Emerge During Friday Filings

More candidates have decided to run for the Ward 10 city council seat and the District A school board seat. Monday is the last day to file.

CONCORD, NH — On the second to the last day to file for municipal offices in 2017, three new candidates filed to run for seats on the Concord City Council and Board of Education, according to officials. Elvir Zulkic, a healthcare supervisor, has filed to run for the Ward 10 council seat. He will face off against incumbent Dan St. Hilaire and David Sky, a board member of the Central New Hampshire Bicycling Coalition.

Liza Dube of Concord, the vice president of communications with the Housing Partnership Network, is running for the District A School Board seat representing Wards 1, 2, 3, and 4. She joins incumbent Thomas Croteau, who works for the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Department, and Danielle Smith, a photographer who runs Rosy Hue Photography, who are also running for the seat.

Potential candidates have until the end of business on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, to file for both city council and school board seats.
