More Troubles at the Bow Hampton Inn

Three people arrested after police were tipped off about alleged drug activity in the hotel; one allegedly had heroin in his underwear.

The Bow Police Department announced this morning that it recently made three arrests at the Hampton Inn on South Street after being tipped off about potential drug activity in the hotel.

Arrested on May 1, 2015, were Gregory Davies, 31, of Windsor, left, James P. Putnam, 28, of Tilton, center, and Sarah Monette, 25, of Hooksett.

According to a report, police were investigating drug activity at the hotel and knocked on one of the rooms in question. Davies reportedly answered the door to the room to speak with police.

“Officers learned Davies had an outstanding felony warrant, issued by the Concord Police Department, for the sale of a controlled drug,” said Sgt. Art Merrigan of the Bow Police Department in a statement. “When taken into custody, 5 grams of heroin was found.”

Davies had a felony warrant out of Concord for sale of a controlled drug so he was arrested on that and a possession charge.

A second man in the room, Putnam, was allegedly in possession of a hypodermic needle and a small amount of heroin “in his underwear,” according to police. Putnam was arrested and charged with possession.

Monette had an outstanding warrant from Concord for theft by unauthorized taking so she was arrested as well.

Police in Bow, along with other departments, have been watching local hotels in an attempt to address not only quality of life issues but also drug and prostitution problems.
