CONCORD, NH — A probation fugitive, missing since January, has been found in Maine, according to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.

John Patrick Bauer, 43, was arrested on May 27 by the York County Sheriff’s Department. According to officials, investigators “developed leads” last week about Bauer being in Lebanon, ME. Deputies from York County acted upon the information, found Bauer, and arrested him.

Bauer was wanted on a probation violation after being convicted of domestic violence. Officials said he will be extradited back to New Hampshire after being charged with a fugitive from justice and settling the matter in Maine. Here, he faces “multiple charges,” including felony drug possession, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, and the probation violation count.
