No Arrests Made At Chichester Sobriety Checkpoint
NHSP: More than 260 vehicles were checked on June 24, on Route 4.

CHICHESTER, NH — The New Hampshire State Police held a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday and no one was arrested, according to a press statement. On June 24, 2017, NHSP held a checkpoint on Route 4 in Chichester, with the help of New Hampshire Liquor Enforcement, according to Staff Sgt. Charles Johnston of Troop D. Approximately 262 vehicles were screened, he noted.

“The New Hampshire State Police is committed to taking an aggressive stance in utilizing Safety and Sobriety Checkpoints as a tool to deter, detect and apprehend persons while driving when intoxicated,” Johnston stated. “New Hampshire has some of the most aggressive laws in the country to fight the intoxicated driver, and we are dedicated to using those tools to their full extent to make sure our citizens and visitors are safe when operating their vehicles on our roadways.”
