Penacook Felon Accused Of Selling Methamphetamine In Concord
Jewel Burke was arrested on two sale of drug charges in September. She has previously been convicted on drug, robbery, and forgery charges.

CONCORD, NH — A local woman with a long criminal history is facing felony drug dealing charges after being accused of selling methamphetamine to a Concord police detective and a cooperating individual.
The charges against Jewel Burke, 39, who was last known to be living on Summer Street in Penacook, started in early March when members of the drug enforcement unit worked with a cooperating individual to line up drugs in the capital city.
On March 2, the detective wrote in an affidavit, the individual stated they had spoken to a woman named "Jewel" and they could score an eight-ball of meth from her for $240. The individual told the detective the woman would need the money first before conducting the transaction.

At the time, the woman was hanging out on at a home near North Spring Street and the detective gave the green light to the individual to line up the deal with her on Centre Street.
The detective met with the cooperating individual, provided him with an audio recording device, and the cash.

"From there," the detective wrote, "I, functioning in an undercover capacity, drove (the individual) to (the home)."
The individual called the woman, the affidavit said, "at which point, she stated she would be right out and that they would go for a walk to conduct the drug transaction."
The woman came out of the building and the detective "immediately" recognized the woman to be Jewel Burke based on prior contacts, an affidavit said. The individual and Burke began walking west on Centre Street, the report said, passing by the detective's car, "at which point I observed them conduct a hand-to-hand drug transaction." A field test was run on the drugs and it was confirmed to be meth, the affidavit said.
The next day, the individual agreed to work with police to line up another $260 of meth from Burke, the report said. This time, however, the deal was made in the parking lot of the Fisherville Road Dunkin' Donuts, the detective wrote.
After driving the individual to the parking lot, the detective accused Burke of making the drug deal in the lot. A test was run on the drugs and it was positively confirmed to be meth, the report said.
Burke is due back in Merrimack County Superior Court Dec. 1.
Burke has several prior superior court cases. She was found guilty on numerous felony forgery charges out of Concord in June 2010 and other charges in Manchester before 2010. In March 2011, she was arrested on felony theft and organized retail crime enterprise charges. After more than two years in court, she was found guilty on the theft charge.
Burke was arrested on three felony drug charges in Concord in June 2011 and a robbery charge in Concord in August 2011 and later, found guilty of the charges in June 2012.
Burke was arrested in Windham on a felony drug possession charge in October 2017 and in Salem in February 2018. She was indicted on the charges but failed to appear in court twice. In January 2019, the Salem charges were nolle prossed after she pleaded guilty to the Windham charge.
Currently, she has active drug possession cases in Hillsborough County Superior Court North after an incident in January in Manchester.
