Police, Firefighters Sent To Bar Fight In Downtown Concord: Watch

Police and fire and rescue teams were sent to Wow Billiard & Bar on North Main Street for a fight with injuries.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police, firefighters, and EMTs were sent downtown Saturday morning for a report of a fight.

Dispatch began receiving reports around 12:15 a.m. about a fight at the North Main and Pleasant Street intersection. Witnesses said there were multiple people involved, unknown injuries, and unknown if there were any weapons.

When officers arrived, they reported to dispatch at least one victim, a woman, was assaulted, with others fleeing the area toward Storrs Street.

“There’s about 40 people inside,” they said, “screaming and yelling.”

An officer followed up and said the victim, later identified as a woman from Pembroke, had an injury to her mouth after being assaulted by a man who fled the area. One officer asked if any cautions or weapons were involved, and dispatch said it was still not known.

Two other officers, a few minutes later, reported they were outside the Storrs Street Parking Garage with a possible suspect, a Concord man in his early 20s, while other officers tried to bring control to the scene at the bar and outside in the street. Dispatch said the suspect had a suspended license but no warrants. He might be possessing a handgun, she added.

According to scanner chatter, officers later learned the man and woman were previously involved. The officer said the suspect was cooperative, but EMTs needed to examine him due to two apparent injuries to his face and eyes.

Just before 1 a.m., an officer told dispatch they had taken statements from all involved and believed they had the situation under control.

It is unknown, at post time, if there were any arrests.
