Taylor Caron, 29, of Pleasant Street of Colebrook was arrested at 12:14 a.m. on April 9 on two felony drug possession charges. On March 29, around 2 a.m., an officer on Centre Street saw a suspicious vehicle in a private parking lot on North Main Street with the dome light on. The officer parked next to the vehicle and saw that there were three people inside the 2004 Volvo 80 — a man and a woman in front and a woman in the back who was laying down in the back seat. The woman in the front, Caron, was wearing a blanket and hand bandages on her hands, with bleeding fingers, a report said. Underneath the blanket was a lockbox which, the officer noted, is often used for holding drugs, an affidavit said. Other officers showed up as Caron agreed to step out of the vehicle. When asked what drugs were in the lockbox, Caron replied, that there was "a point" of methamphetamine inside, the report said. The box, however, could not be opened because she lost the key, the report said. The officer seized the box and applied for a search warrant. The officer accused Caron of being in possession of baggies with meth and fentanyl as well as a nail file, change, a lighter, lip balm, a knife, straw, and more. A warrant was issued for her arrest on April 4 and she was picked up later. Caron was arraigned on April 21 in Merrimack County Superior Court.
