Sex Offender Surrenders After ‘Intensive Investigation’
James Labombard, a felonious sexual assaulter wanted for failing to maintain his sex offender status, surrendered to police in Nashua.

CONCORD, NH — A New Hampshire sex offender is behind bars after what U.S. Marshals called an “intensive investigation” into trying to locate him. James Labombard, 42, of Paxton Terrace in Nashua, surrendered to authorities on April 3, 2018, on an outstanding warrant out of Nashua for felony duty to report. Labombard was featured as the Fugitive of the Week on March 28, 2018, and through this feature, task force members received “several leads” and “blanketed the Nashua and Manchester areas” attempting to find him.

Labombard, Deputy Marshal Jeffrey White noted, “definitely felt the pressure (and) due to these efforts (he) decided to surrender last night.”

This investigation was a combined effort of numerous agencies that are members of the fugitive task force including the Belknap, Hillsborough. Rockingham and Strafford County Sheriff’s Offices, the Federal Protective Service and deputy U.S. Marshals along with members of the Nashua and Manchester Police Departments.
According to Nashua Police, Labombard “had returned to an address in Nashua without properly updating his Sex Offender Registration information.” Along with duty to report, he was also charged with criminal mischief – due to a previous incident that occurred in Nashua reportedly involving a woman he knew – a Salem District Court date that was missed, and an electronic bench warrant.

Labombard was convicted of felonious sexual assault in March 1998, duty to report in July 2005, as well as a number of other charges, according to police. He is being held on cash bail.
