CONCORD, NH — If you heard sirens blaring through the western part of the city early this morning, you weren't dreaming. New Hampshire State Police pulled over a vehicle – a 2009 Nissan Rogue with New Hampshire plates out of Henniker with two white male occupants – at around 1:45 a.m. this morning on I-93 north in Hooksett for lane control issues and an obstructed view. The driver, according to the trooper, was wearing a black trim hat and appeared to have tattoos while the passenger reached for a backpack as he approached the vehicle.
But when the trooper got close to the vehicle, the driver sped away from the stop. The vehicle reached more than 90 mph as it drove north, according to a state trooper, refusing to stop.
State police began to prepare to lay spike strips first around Exit 16 on I-93 north and at just before Exit 2 on I-89.

State police dispatch advised Concord dispatch that troopers were chasing the vehicle as it exited the Interstate and began speeding through city streets — east on Clinton, to Langley Parkway.
"He's using turn signals but he's all over the road," a state trooper noted. "He's up at 80."
At the intersection of Langley and Pleasant, the vehicle drove through the red light, the trooper stated, turning west.
While on Pleasant Street, the passenger threw something from the vehicle in the area of Russell Animal Hospital, according to dispatch. Police in the city were tracking the pursuit but were not involved initially. Concord officers were sent to Pleasant Street to begin searching for whatever was thrown from the vehicle.
The driver traveled west on Pleasant Street to Fisk Road, driving around 70 mph up the hill, according to a state trooper. The vehicle then turned east on Little Pond Road, down to Penacook Street, to Rumford Street near Lincoln Financial.
State police noted during the chase that the SUV was registered to a woman. Merrimack County dispatch then shared information with NHSP about potential men connected to the woman – including a resident of Fisk Road who had previous felony convictions on weapons charges.
The vehicle, according to state police, pulled a U-turn and continued west on Penacook Street.
"He's waving his hand out the window of the sunroof," one trooper stated as the vehicle drove by Columbus Avenue at 45 mph.
The SUV continued on Penacook Street back onto Little Pond Road.
"He's backtracking," one trooper noted, just before the vehicle turned back onto Fisk Road.
The vehicle appeared to slow down near Fiskhill Farm Road, pulling over to the right-hand side, where more items were thrown out the window of the vehicle. The vehicle then took off south down Fisk Road.
The trooper requested to see if any Concord units on Pleasant Street searching for items to lay spike strips.
The driver turned back onto Pleasant Street east and when it passed him, a Concord officer deployed spike strips near Pleasant Street Family Medicine.
"It appears to be a good hit," the officer stated.
"Nice job," another officer stated.
The vehicle turned onto Langley Parkway where it stopped. Concord officers went to assist state troopers at the stop and two men were then taken into custody on July 2, 2019.
