Cilley Backs Connolly for Governor

2014 guv candidate says state needs a clear, positive vision from NH's next governor, with determination, while working with both sides.

BARRINGTON, NH — A former 2014 candidate for the corner office has thrown her support behind one of five Democrats running for the 2016 nomination, according to a press statement. State Rep. Jackie Cilley, D-Barrington, said she will be supporting Mark Connolly on Sept. 13, 2016.

“I’ve given a great deal of thought to the traits I’d like to see in our next governor,” said Cilley, a former state Senator. “I want a clear and positive vision from our next governor. I want someone with the grit and determination to get things done. I want someone with the kind of leadership skills that will inspire folks on both sides of the political aisle to work together for a brighter future for our state. I have found all those and more in Mark Connolly.”

Connolly said he was proud to have earned her endorsement in the race noting that she was not only a successful businesswoman but a tireless public service advocate.
