At around 5:00 in the afternoon on Monday, January 4, 2016, the place to be in the town of Exeter, New Hampshire was the Exeter Town Hall, where one of the most popular U.S. Presidents in history, Bill Clinton, appeared before an overflowing crowd at a campaign event for his wife, the former U.S. Secretary of State, and former U.S. Senator from New York, Hillary Clinton, who, as we all know, is running for President this year.
It was an exciting event, an electric atmosphere, with heavy hitters from the news media, like MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell, in attendance.

At the Exeter Town Hall on Monday, President Clinton credited Hillary Clinton with working successfully to improve the quality of education in Arkansas when he was Governor of Arkansas prior to becoming President.
President Clinton urged the people of New Hampshire, and the American people generally, not to give in to fear of terrorism. He stated forthrightly that Hillary Clinton will handle and defeat any terrorist threat. This was stated very seriously and in a carefully measured tone. President Clinton conveyed very definitely his belief that Hillary Clinton is a tough person who understands what it will take to defeat terrorism.
Having seen Bill Clinton campaigning with Hillary Clinton before, I can say with certainty that one of his favorite things to talk about in public is how great his wife would be as President. Clinton described Hillary Clinton as a leader, an extremely hard worker, someone who cares primarily about improving the quality of life for the American people, and as someone who is tough enough to be a strong and effective President of the United States.
