Nashua Drug Sweep: 3 Arrested In 'Granite Hammer'

NASHUA, NH — Three suspects were arrested this week in the latest Nashua police "Granite Hammer" drug sweep, officials announced Thursday morning. The suspects were charged with crimes involving fentanyl and cocaine, police said. The suspects were identified as Kevin Burgos-Santiago, Toni Flaherty and Alejandro Garcia, all of Nashua.

The Granite Hammer program is a collaboration between New Hampshire police agencies and the FBI targeting drug distribution, especially involving opioids.

"Individuals were arrested for various drug crimes, and various crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity," Nashua police Lieutenant Brian Kelley said in a statement.

These are the three suspects arrested this week:

• Kevin Burgos-Santiago, 29, of Nashua, was charged with selling fentanyl, fentanyl possession (second offense) and falsifying evidence.
• Toni Flaherty, 45, of Nashua, was charged with selling crack cocaine (second offense) and theft.
• Alejandro Garcia, 22, of Nashua, was charged with selling cocaine (second offense).

All three suspects have previous drug convictions and face enhanced penalties, police said.

Police said anyone with information about illegal drug activity in Nashua should contact the narcotics hotline at 603-594-3597.

It was the 16th crime sweep in Nashua so far this year.
