Nashua Felon Arrested On Drug Possession, 5 New Burglary Charges

NASHUA, NH — A felon from Nashua with about a 15-year criminal history was arrested again last month by police in Nashua.

In late September 2024, police were sent to Kinsley Street for a report of a burglary. Right away, Sgt. John Cinelli, the public information officer and communications division supervisor of the Nashua Police Department, said, Jason Marrotte, 35, of Nashua, was “identified as a suspect.” Detectives were assigned to work on the investigation, which led to a warrant against Marrotte for one burglary charge and an arrest on Dec. 26, 2024.

“At the time of his arrest,” Cinelli said, “he was additionally charged with four counts of burglary and possession of a controlled drug-subsequent offense, a Class A felony.”

Marrotte was held on preventative detention and arraigned in Nashua District Court on Dec. 27, 2024.

According to superior court records and posts on Patch, Marrotte is no stranger to police.

Back in June 2010, Marrotte was accused of two acts prohibited charges in Nashua. He reached a plea deal on one of the charges, knocked down to a misdemeanor, and received a suspended sentence in February 2011.

Thirteen months later, he was accused of burglary and possessing burglary tools in Nashua. The case involved stolen copper from a vacant downtown building, according to a report on Patch. In August 2012, the burglary charge was dropped, but he pleaded guilty to the tool possession charge and received a 12-month suspended sentence and a year probation.

In March 2014, he was arrested on a theft charge in Amherst.

In April 2016, Marrotte was accused of three acts prohibited charges in one case and three drug sale-subsequent charges in another case. Both incidents were in Nashua. The acts prohibited charges were nolle prossed and in February 2017, he pleaded to a single drug sale count. Marrotte received a 12-month sentence, suspended for a year, with 104 days time served.

Marrotte was accused of theft in Nashua in April 2023, but the charge was dismissed without prejudice seven months later.

On Dec. 27, 2024, a request was made for documents in the drug sale criminal case.
