Pair Arrested At Nashua Motel On Drug Dealing Charges

Police: Christopher Carey and Justin Arch were arrested after a month-long investigation into heroin sales in the Gate City.

NASHUA, NH — Narcotics investigators have arrested two men on drug dealing charges after a multi-week investigation into drug sales incidents in Nashua. Christopher Carey, 25, pictured left, and Justin Arch, 21, of unknown addresses, were arrested yesterday on numerous charges. They are scheduled to be arraigned in court at a future date.

According to police, members of the Narcotics Intelligence Division and Problem Oriented Policing Unit have been eyeing both Arch and Carey for about a month. During the course of the investigation, according to Lt. Brian Kenney of the Nashua Police Department, "officers obtained enough evidence" to charge Carey with five counts of acts prohibited; sale of a controlled drug-heroin-second offense, all felonies. He was arrested by police at a local motel.

At the same time that Carey was arrested, officers found Arch inside the motel room and arrested him on an acts prohibited; possession of heroin-felony charge.

Arch, according to Kenney, is accused of being in possession of more than 5 grams of heroin that police found during the booking process so a second count of acts prohibited was added to his docket.

Both Carey and Arch refused bail on July 17, 2019, and were held.

Carey, according to posts on Patch, is no stranger to police. He was arrested three times in 2012. One case – a gallery and glass pipe shop – led to a burglary and resisting charge. In another incident, he was arrested for criminal trespass in Nashua and receiving stolen property in Merrimack. In 2014, he was indicted on a theft charge while living in Hudson. Arch was indicted last month in Hillsborough County Superior Court-South on five felony counts of controlled drug act; acts prohibited-fentanyl from incidents in Nashua in April and May of this year.

Nashua police are asking for the public to contact the department's narcotics hotline at 603-594-3597 if they suspect any illegal drug activity happening in the city.
