Portsmouth Democrats Host Forum for Gubernatorial Candidates Aug. 23

The city committee has invited three of five Democrats running for governor will be at the Portsmouth Public Library.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — The Portsmouth Democratic Committee will host a forum for the Democratic candidates for governor on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, in the Levenson Community Room of the Portsmouth Public Library. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the forum will begin at 7 p.m.

“We're pleased to be hosting this forum with three great candidates,” said Larry Drake, Chairperson of the Portsmouth Democratic Committee. “We look forward to hearing their ideas.”

The three of the five Democrats competing for the Democratic nomination for governor - Mark Connolly, Steve Marchand and Colin Van Ostern - have been invited to participate. The forum is free and open to the public.

The event will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016, in the Levenson Community Room of the Portsmouth Public Library, 175 Parrott Ave. in Portsmouth.
