Kidnapping: Victim Stripped, Tied To Tree In Derry; Woman Wanted
Ariel Dupuis, a woman with prior drug and driving charges, is wanted on warrants; Ronald Betances was arrested in Manchester Saturday.

MANCHESTER, NH — Police have one man in custody and are asking for the public's help finding a woman after a man was reportedly abducted in Manchester, beaten, and left tied to a tree in Derry Friday.
According to police, the man was abducted from a Manchester residence at knifepoint and forced into a vehicle. His wallet and cell phone were then taken from him. Chris Sanders, a detective sergeant with the Manchester police, said the victim was then driven to "several locations" before being taken to Derry.
"The victim was then forced to remove his clothing, had his wrists and feet bound, and (was) assaulted before being left tied to a tree," Sanders said. "The victim managed to free himself and then contacted the police."

Two suspects in the cases were identified: Ronald Betances, 37, and Ariel Dupuis, 29. Betances was arrested Saturday night by Manchester police, Sanders said. Dupuis is wanted on outstanding warrants.
"The victim and suspects were known to each other and this was not a random act," Sanders added. "There is no threat to the public at this time."

Anyone with information about the case or where Dupuis can be found are asked to contact Manchester police at 603-668-8711.
Dupuis is no stranger to police, according to reports online, including Patch.
She was a suspect in a shooting case inside a Londonderry hotel in January 2016 that led to a 24-hour manhunt. Dupuis, according to police, was in the hotel room at the time of the shooting involving a man from Boston, who was a victim, and another man. At the time, she had an active warrant on a heroin possession charge. About a year and a half later, Dupuis was arrested on a possession charge after a traffic stop by New Hampshire State Police in Windham and arrested on numerous driving charges in Merrimack. In December 2017, she was arrested by Rockingham County Sheriffs on a judge's order for possession of Tramadol and crack cocaine as well as falsifying physical evidence. She was arrested by state police in November on driving charges after speeding in Windham.
