Maine Woman Indicted On 4 Theft By Deception Charges: Superior Court Roundup
Plus: Elderly Epping woman accused of scratching SUV; man indicted on strangulation charge; Rye man indicted on falsifying evidence charge.

BRENTWOOD, NH — The following people were indicted recently in Rockingham County Superior Court.
Robert J. Peno, 33, of Ash Street in Nashua on possession of fentanyl, possession of a controlled drug-subsequent-fentanyl, delivery of articles prohibited-fentanyl, and theft by unauthorized taking-subsequent charges, all felonies. The drug charges stem from an incident on Dec. 11, 2022, in Brentwood at the Rockingham County Jail, while the theft charge concerned a code reader, the property of Advanced Auto Parts in Salem, between Nov. 5, and Nov. 18, 2022. Twice before, according to the indictment, Peno has been convicted on theft charges.

Brandon Michael Perry, 30, of Silver Street in Manchester on a felony second-degree assault-domestic violence charge. He was accused of strangling an intimate partner on Dec. 14, 2022, in Hampton Falls.
Dorothy L. Porter, 72, of Pleasant Street in Epping on a felony criminal mischief charge. She was accused of scratching a 2022 Nissan Rogue on Nov. 18, 2022, in Epping.

John J. Rundlett, 59, of Lowell Street in Manchester on receiving stolen property and possession of crack cocaine charges, both felonies. He was accused of receiving scratch tickets on June 18, 2022, that had been stolen from Joseph’s Brothers Market in Deerfield.

Valerie Savage, 63, of Birch Hill Road in York, Maine, on four felony theft by deception charges. She was accused of falsely implying that another person owed her company, Herb Disposal, money for services on Sept. 13, 2021, in Newington, and Sept. 28, Oct. 16, and Nov. 21, 2021, in North Hampton.
Virginia Pierce Scarponi, 26, of Plymouth Street in Methuen, Massachusetts, on a felony reckless conduct charge. She was accused of using a vehicle as a deadly weapon on Interstate 93 with three flat tires in Londonderry after consuming alcohol on Dec. 8, 2022.
Crystle Sears, 35, of Lynn Shore Drive in Lynn, MA, on four felony forgery charges. She was accused of uttering checks to BJ’s Wholesale Club on Oct. 19, Oct. 20, and Oct. 21, 2022, in Seabrook.
Richard Christopher Shay, 23, of Fairway Drive in Derry on a felony sale of marijuana charge on May 14, 2021, in Derry.
