Second Man Charged In Murder Of South Jersey Man Found In His Car
Brandon Clifton has been charged with the 2017 death of Shaquille Williams.

A second man has been charged in connection with the murder of a man who was found fatally shot in a car in 2017, Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Pemberton Township Police Chief David H. Jantas announced.
Brandon A. Clifton, 20, of Pemberton, has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree certain persons not to possess weapons and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon in the death of 24-year-old Shaquille Williams, of Pemberton, authorities said.
Douglas Lewis, 23, of Pemberton, was previously arrested in connection with Williams’ death. He was subsequently indicted on charges of murder in the first degree, first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree aggravated assault, second-degree certain persons not to possess weapons and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

Williams was found inside a car suffering from several gunshot wounds on the 100 block of Kinsley Road just before 9 p.m. on March 21, 2017. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lewis has been held in the Burlington County Jail in Mount Holly since his arrest in October 2018. Clifton is presently incarcerated in the state prison system on an unrelated charge.

The case was investigated by detectives from the Pemberton Township Police Department and the Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit – Violent Crimes Section, and Crime Scene Unit. The lead investigators were BCPO MCU Detective Tony Luyber and Pemberton Township Police Detective Danielle Hann. The lead crime scene investigator was BCPO Detective Tim Horne.
The case will be prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Bob VanGilst, supervisor of the BCPO Major Crimes Unit – Violent Crimes Section.
