Police Looking For Saddle Brook Motor Home Burglar

BREAKING: Police said the man may have slept in the home before stealing a 32-inch TV, a DVD player and a satellite television receiver.

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — Police are investigating a burglary to a motor home reported Feb. 28.

The 2006 motor home was kept at Kellar's K9 Academy at 128 Market St., said Chief Robert Kugler.

Video footage of the break-in shows a white man, possibly in his early 20s, forcing his way into the home by sliding open a large window, Kugler said.

The man may have slept in the home for a while before going outside, smoking a cigarette and re-entering the home, the chief said. The video shows the man was inside the home for more than seven hours of time elapse from when he entered the motor home and came out for the cigarette.

The man later exits with a 32-inch television, a DVD player and a satellite television receiver, Kugler said. The man placed the items in a garbage can that he dragged off the property.

Police and Bergen County Sheriff's officers found a hat and the cigarette thought to be the suspect's and collected them as evidence, Kugler said.
