Saddle Brook Woman Charged With Child Abuse
Breaking: Jenny Herrera-Gomez, 29, was arrested after authorities found bruises, marks, and welts on a child's body, authorities said.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ — A borough woman was charged with child abuse after an investigation by the Saddle Brook Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Jenny Herrera-Gomez, 29, was arrested Thursday and charged with violation of child abuse, said acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo.
The state Division of Child Protection and Permanency (CPP) was alerted that a child went to school in the borough with "significant bruising on he legs and additional marks and welts" on her body, Calo said.

CPP investigators went to the school and altered authorities.
Herrera-Gomez is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack May 11.
