Man Gets 3 Years For Robbing Fort Lee Bank
Isaac Nesbit, 30, admitted he threatened to shoot everyone in the Bank of New Jersey branch if a teller did not give him money.

FORT LEE, NJ — A Bronx man was sentenced Tuesday to 43 months in federal prison for robbing a borough bank in January.
Isaac Nesbit, 30, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Esther Salas, acting U.S. Attorney William E. Fitzpatrick announced. He faced a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine on the bank robbery charge.
Nesbit pleaded guilty to robbing the Bank of New Jersey branch at 458 West St. Jan. 20 by handing a teller a handwritten note demanding cash, Fort Lee Police and Fitzpatrick previously said.

Fort Lee Police Detective Brian Cullen saw a man matching Nesbit's description walking on Center Avenue near the George Washington Bridge shortly after the robbery, police previously said.
Nesbit ran across 14 lanes of highway traffic in an attempt to flee from police, authorities said. Police caught up with him at the New York City-bound bus stop at the George Washington Bridge.

Police found the money Nesbit reportedly stole from the bank when they took him into custody, police said.
In addition to the 3-and-half-year prison term, Salas sentenced Nesbit to three years of supervised release.
