Election Day 2019: Everything Haddonfield, Haddon Need To Know

After a long campaign season, Election Day 2019 is finally here in Haddonfield and Haddon Township. There are a number of races on the ballot in both towns this November, including town council and school board. Here is everything you need to know about Election Day in your town:
What will be on my ballot?

Both towns generally hold their municipal elections in the spring, but there will be a special election for a seat on the Haddonfield Board of Commissioners after John Moscatelli resigned because he was moving earlier this year. Robert Marshall was appointed to fill the seat until the special election. He is running for the seat, as are Colleen Bianco Bezich, Kathryn Raiczyk and Gregory Peltz. Three candidates are running unopposed for three open seats on the Haddonfield Public School District’s Board of Education, including Jaime Auletto Grookett, Linda Hochgertel and David Seidell.
Three candidates are running unopposed for three open seats on the Haddon Township Public School District’s Board of Education, including Renee Billingsley, Christopher Cook and Marie Dezii.

Residents will also vote on their two representatives in the New Jersey State Assembly. Democratic incumbents Paul Moriarty and Gabriele Mosquera are being challenged by Republicans Paul Dilks and Stephanie Pakradooni. The Senate seat is not up for re-election this year. Incumbent Camden County Clerk Joseph Ripa, a Democrat, faces a challenge from Republican Roy Gustafson.
Melinda Kane, who was appointed to replace Bill Moen on the Camden County Board of Chosen Freeholders earlier this year, will run in a special election to fill the remainder of the term. The Democrat will face Republican Keith Cybulski.
Incumbent Freeholders Edward McDonnell and Carmen Rodriguez are both up for re-election. The Democrats will be challenged by Republicans Claire Gustafson and Nicole Nance.

Where do I vote?
Your polling place is included on a sample ballot mailed out to all registered voters. If you're still not sure, or you misplaced that sample ballot, you can look up your polling location on the New Jersey Division of Elections’ website.
When can I vote?
Election Day 2019 is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Are Elections Secure?
More than 125 deputy attorney generals will be stationed throughout the state to ensure a fair and smooth-running election, and to assist county election officials in resolving any emergent voting-related legal matters throughout the day, according to Attorney General Gurbir Grewal.
Any person who believes his or her right to vote has been interfered with, or who wishes to report other voting-related problems or concerns, can call the state’s Voter Information and Assistance line toll-free at 1-877-NJVOTER.
