Starbucks In Hoboken Pushes Back Temporary Closure Date
The uptown Starbucks in Hoboken has updated the dates it will close for renovations. It will now close for six weeks.

HOBOKEN, NJ — The uptown Starbucks in Hoboken, originally scheduled to close for renovations through mid-March, closed on Feb. 27 and will remain closed through April 11, staff confirmed.
[UPDATE: The opening date is now later in April, with a new seating configuration. See story here.]
"We will definitely miss you during this time and cannot wait to see you when we reopen," a sign at the location says.

The Starbucks at 12th and Hudson streets gained minor fame in 2021 when comedian Artie Lange mentioned it as part of his recovery from drug addiction. Lange, who grew up in Union, now lives in Hoboken.

Don't despair. There are more than a dozen locally owned coffee shops in town, including, in that corner of town, Bwe, Chocopain, Cowabunga Coffee, and City of Saints.
The mile-square city also has two other Starbucks locations — at 314 Washington St., and at 51 Newark St.
