LIVINGSTON, NJ — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is here, so it's time to find out which Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

Livingston will host an AutoFest and various kids' events during the day, with musical performances and fireworks later.

Here Are The Details:

WHAT: Livingston 2022 AutoFest And July 4 Events

WHEN: 9 a.m. through night.

WHERE: Various events at the Memorial Oval, the Haines Pool, and the Livingston High School Parking Lot on Wahler Road.

Other nearby towns have fireworks shows on the calendar. They include:

  • Belleville - Belleville Township will hold an Independence Day celebration, including fireworks, on Friday, July 1. A rain date is set for Saturday, July 2. festivities kick off at 6 p.m. at Belleville Municipal Stadium. The fireworks will begin at dusk.
  • East Orange - The City of East Orange will host its Independence Day Spectacular with “fireworks, food and family fun” on Monday, July 4 starting at 6 p.m. at Paul Robeson Stadium, 217 N. Clinton Street. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature performances by Lady Alma, Ace Da Face, DJ Chill X, EO Got Talent Finalists and MC Kool Bubba Ice.
  • Millburn - Millburn is hosting an event with fireworks and “a day of family fun” on Monday, July 4, with activities at 10 a.m. at Taylor Park, and fireworks at 9:30 p.m. at Millburn High School (tickets are $10 per person; doors open at 7:30 p.m.)
  • Nutley - The Township of Nutley has announced plans for its 2022 Fourth of July celebration, including a fireworks show. The annual event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4 at the Park Oval, 300 Franklin Avenue. Fireworks are scheduled to start at dusk.
  • Verona - An Independence Day fireworks display is scheduled for Friday, July 1 with a rain date of July 5. The show will take place at the Verona Community Center field complex, 880 Bloomfield Avenue. DJ music begins at 7 p.m. Fireworks will begin around 9:20 p.m. Parking is limited.
  • West Caldwell - The towns of Caldwell, West Caldwell, Essex Fells and Roseland have announced that their annual West Essex 4th of July celebration will be held in West Caldwell. The field gates will open at 7 p.m. on July 4. To help offset the cost of the fireworks, the committee is asking for a donation of $3 per adult and $1 per child under 12. The rain date is July 5.
  • West Orange - The Township of West Orange will hold a 4th of July Celebration on Monday, July 4 at West Orange High School, 51 Conforti Ave. The event beings at 1 p.m. and will include food trucks, a "kids zone," DJ music and activities. A fireworks show is scheduled to kick off at dusk (around 9:15 p.m.)
