9 New Businesses Coming To Morris County In 2018

From a new brewery to a hotly anticipated BJs, there's no shortage of exciting business openings coming in 2018 for Morris County.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — 2018 is shaping up to be an exciting year for new business in Morris County: from a new BJs, to a locally owned brewery, to an entirely new shopping center, there's something for everyone heading our way this year.

Here are some upcoming anticipated openings:

Philly Pretzel Company: A staple of after-school fundraisers, the soft pretzel store is opening its doors in Morristown this year. The opening is planned for sometime in January. Read more about it here.

Wild Bones Brewing Company: The microbrewery was approved by the Morristown committee in June, and the locally-owned brewing company is hoping to start brewing this spring. Check out their Facebook page for updates on an opening date.

Playa Bowls: The beach favorite smoothie shop is opening it's second Morris County location in Pequannock (there's currently one in Morristown). An opening date hasn't been set yet, but is listed on their website as coming soon. Read more about it here.

Route 46 Starbucks: The opening of the Route 46 Starbucks in Parsippany was pushed several times, with Starbucks reps telling Patch it should open "in early 2018." Check back with Patch for more information on potential opening date.

BJs Wholesale Club: Perhaps the most anticipated new business coming to the county is the Hanover Ave BJs. An opening date has yet to be finalized, but info on other business in the shopping center, and in nearby centers, has been slowly announced over the past year. Read more about it here.

Small-Format Target: These new stores are just like regular Targets, just a fraction of the size. It'll have a CVS pharmacy, Starbucks, and order puck-up services, and is expected to open in March. Read more about it here.

The Shops at Ledgewood Commons: This new open air shopping center will be built where the Roxbury Macy's used to stand, and will have a mix of anchor, junior anchor, and pad site stores and restaurants. A specific opening date hasn't been announced, but you can read more about the plans here.

Weis Market: The grocery store announced plans to open a Randolph location sometime in 2018. The store is moving into the Center Grove Plaza. Read more about it here.

OMG Burger And Brew: This upcoming burger restaurant is being built at the top of Schooley's Mountain, where the Mountain View Inn used to be. The owners are looking to have the place up and running by the summer. Read more about it here.
