Atlantic Highlands Lewdness Incident Reported Last Thursday

Atlantic Highlands Police said they are continuing to look for a man who committed a lewd act inside his car at Bayshore Plaza March 18.

ATLANTIC HIGHLANDS, NJ — Atlantic Highlands Police said they are continuing to look for a man who committed an act of lewdness inside his car at Bayshore Plaza on March 18.

The act occurred at 12:20 p.m. last Thursday when officers responded to the Bayshore Plaza on Rt. 36, for a report of a man in his mid- to early forties committing an act of lewdness inside his car.

The car description provided was a four-door silver Mazda with a man sitting in the driver’s seat. Surveillance video shows the car parked in five different parking spaces in the Bayshore Plaza before parking in the parking space where the act was observed.

While in the last parking space, a woman advised that she saw the man masturbating in his vehicle while she was entering her vehicle, which was parked next to the Mazda.

"This department is reaching out to the public for further assistance from possible witnesses," said Atlantic Highlands Police in a post to their Facebook page Tuesday. "Anyone that may have seen this male subject committing the same act at this location or any other location on this date or any other date is asked to contact the Atlantic Highlands Police Department at their earliest convenience.
