Moorestown Man, 86, Dies Of Coronavirus

MOORESTOWN, NJ — An 86-year-old Moorestown man has died after testing positive for the coronavirus, Burlington County officials announced on Tuesday. A total of nine deaths were announced throughout the county on Tuesday.

He is the 61st Moorestown resident to die after being diagnosed with the coronavirus. There were also two new cases of the coronavirus reported in Moorestown, raising the total to 338 cases as of Tuesday.

There are now 5,746 cases of the coronavirus in Burlington County with 439 confirmed deaths and 48 probable deaths. Thirty-seven new cases were reported countywide, and trace investigations are underway in all new cases.

Other coronavirus deaths in Moorestown included a 93-year-old woman, an 82-year-old woman, a 90-year-old man, a 92-year-old woman, a 75-year-old woman, a 101-year-old woman, a 60-year-old woman, a 100-year-old woman, an 88-year-old woman, a 75-year-old man, a 97-year-old woman a 77-year-old man, a 76-year-old man, a 96-year-old woman, a 79-year-old woman, an 88-year-old man, 82-year-old woman, an 89-year-old woman, an 84-year-old woman, an 82-year-old man, an 86-year-old man, an 88-year-old man, an 84-year-old woman, a 93-year-old-man, a 73-year-old-man, an 87-year-old man, a 97-year-old woman, a 76-year-old man, an 86-year-old woman, an 85-year-old woman a 93-year-old woman, a 68-year-old man, a 91-year-old man, a 97-year-old man, a 79-year-old woman, a 73-year-old woman, a 77-year-old woman, a 74-year-old man, 96-year-old man, a 100-year-old man, an 84-year-old man, a 96-year-old woman, an 83-year-old man, a 95-year-old man, a 95-year-old woman, a 95-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman, a 94-year-old woman, an 87-year-old woman, a 66-year-old man, a 97-year-old woman and, 82-year-old man, a 79-year-old woman and an 89-year-old woman. Burlington County is actively engaged in contact tracing positive coronavirus cases. The focus is on close contacts, defined as closer than 6 feet for more than 10 minutes, household contacts and those that work in high risk settings such as healthcare workers and long term care facilities. If community exposure has occurred, where a coronavirus positive person was in close contact with people for an extended period of time, while symptomatic, county officials will notify the public. Since residents are abiding by the social distancing requirements, officials said they have not run into that issue since early in the pandemic.
