Port Authority officers arrested a Teaneck man at the George Washington Bridge early Sunday morning after he allegedly sped his car through a construction zone and admitted to an accident that didn’t actually take place, police say.
The incident began around 3:25 a.m., when a Port Authority police officer allegedly saw Hermogene A. Reynoso, 47, of Teaneck, drive his 2015 Acura through a construction zone, crossing into other lanes several times without signaling, authorities stated.
When the officer stopped Reynoso, the 47-year-old allegedly admitted that he “hit a car on the bridge” and recently drank Hennessy, police said.
