UPDATE: Season's Biggest Snowstorm Will Dump On New Jersey Wednesday

A storm system is expected to bring as much as three inches of snow to the region starting Wednesday afternoon and going into the evening.

Here we go again.

Forecasters are predicting as much as three inches of snow will have a “significant” impact on the Wednesday evening commute throughout eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

According to the National Weather Service, which has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the region, snow will likely start around 4 p.m. Wednesday. Daytime temperatures will peak around 32 degrees, the National Weather Service said. Overnight lows will be in the mid-20s.

According to AccuWeather.com Senior Meteorologist Alex Sosnowski, in a news release, “In the wake of this system, with the aid of snow cover, temperatures will dip slightly. This will be mostly reflected on night-time low temperatures, where the sky becomes clear.”

Light snow or flurries could move into the New York City metro area late Wednesday into Wednesday night and impact the afternoon commute, according to The Weather Channel.

The storm system is expected to bring snow to the region going into the evening, forecasters predict. In areas south and east of Philadelphia, there could be a mix of snow and rain.

National Weather Service has issued an alert, saying the southern part of New Jersey could see three inches of snow, while central and northern New Jersey getting about two inches.

The storm comes after a wintry mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain soaked the region on Sunday morning, and much of that rain and wetness froze on New Jersey roads on Monday.
