After being washed out last weekend by rain, the Bergen County Softball Tournament semifinals finally got underway with tourney favorite IHA facing Paramus Catholic. The Paladins came out strong with a 2-0 lead when Marie Hans took blasted a a 2-run homer in the second inning. The Blue Eagles fought back, however, with the bats of Abby Holmes (2-for-3 with a 2-run homer), Danielle Ibarra (3-for-3 with 4 RBI), and Erica Correa, who added a solo shot in the 6th to put an end to any Paramus Catholic momentum. Th2 9-2 victory gives IHA a date with Indian Hills High School on Sundaty at Ramapo College for the Championship.
