IHA Junior Enjoys Success This Season

Lindsay Khoury came up big for the Blue Eagles basketball team

The basketball team had an incredible season going 27-1 and winning the county championship and finishing the regular season as undefeated league champions.

Junior forward Lindsay Khoury enjoyed the season and playing for Head Coach Steve Silver.

"Coach Silver did a great job of always keeping us focused and constantly reminding us to not get ahead of ourselves although we had a great record," said Khoury. "The most valuable lesson Coach Silver reminded us was after winning the County Championship. He said to remember to not allow things like this to get into our heads and to not make things seem like a bigger deal than they are."

The team will be losing some seniors but Khoury is optimistic about next season and is proud of how the team played this season.

"This year, our team did an especially good job at coming together and playing like a team," said Khoury. "Everyone on the team was involved and had a strength that they were able to contribute to our success."

The Blue Eagles had a dominant year and the team will be returning talented players next year, including Khoury, who has experienced winning a County Championship, which is a huge accomplishment to have achieved going into a senior season.

"Winning the County Championship title was one of the most exciting experiences for me," said Khoury.

Khoury loves the game of basketball and loves putting on a Blue Eagles uniform and she keeps herself busy all year round on and off the court.

"Academics are a priority to me, but aside from them, I like to go running and spend time with my friends and sister," said Khoury. "I also like to shoot around and practice when I am with my teammates."
