IHA Softball Cruises to Victory
IHA makes short work of Ramapo, 2-0, earning a spot in the Bergen County Tournament semifinals.
Riding high after dismantling Park Ridge last week, IHA came into Saturday’s game against Ramapo ready to show its dominating style of softball and why it deserves its high ranking.
The team was led by power hitter Cheryl Lupica, who drove in two RBIs, giving IHA an early 2-0 lead. The small lead was all Blue Eagle pitcher Steph Thomas would need.
Thomas went a full seven innings, striking out eight hitters, walking one and holding Ramapo scoreless.

Thomas kept the Ramapo hitters guessing all afternoon with speed and off-speed pitches.
With the 2-0 victory, IHA cruises into the semifinals of the Bergen County Tournament, to be played Sunday afternoon at Indian Hills High School.
