• Mamdani's DSA allies side with NYC public housing residents over mayor in heated standoff: sources (nypost.com) — Residents of the Fulton and Elliott-Chelsea Houses in Manhattan's Chelsea neighborhood are at the center of a fight over a $1.2 billion NYCHA redevelopment that would demolish and rebuild their complex. More than 300 Democratic Socialists of America members are backing a resolution urging Mayor Zohran Mamdani to halt the project, while City Hall insists the public-private plan is needed to repair and expand affordable housing.
