Police: Southampton Man Arrested For Driving Drunk in East Hampton
Police arrested the man early Monday morning on Montauk Highway.

East Hampton Village Police arrested a Southampton man who was driving drunk in East Hampton early Monday morning, police said.
Jesse Lien, 33, was seen driving a 1996 white sedan on the shoulder of Montauk Highway near Green Hollow Road, according to police.

After stopping and speaking to Lien, the officer determined his breath smelled strongly of an alcoholic beverage, his eyes were red and glassy, and and his speech was slurred, police said.
When asked if he had been drinking, Lien told the officer he had ‘a couple of beers’, according to police.

After he failed all roadside sobriety tests, he was placed under arrest for second degree operating motor vehicle while intoxicated, first and second degree aggregated unlicensed operation, and driving on shoulder, police said.
He was transported to East Hampton Town Police headquarters where he refused to submit a chemical breath test and was held for arraignment, according to police.
