Rooster On the Loose Causes East Hampton Car Accident: Police

Only in the Hamptons.

EAST HAMPTON, NY - A feisty rooster caused a ruckus recently in East Hampton, police said.

According to East Hampton Town Police, a man driving south on Springs Fireplace Road on June 28 at 5:57 p.m. said a rooster that was being transported in the passenger compartment became loose, jumping into the driver's seat and causing him to lose control of the vehicle, which traveled off the runway, struck a utility pole and a split rail fence and sideswiped a tree, causing a rollover.

All passengers were out of the vehicle when police arrived, with no injuries were reported, police said.
