Amityville Woman Accused of DWI With Her 3 Kids in Car
Woman arrested after picking her son up from school, police say.

An Amityville woman faces several felony charges after police say she was driving drunk with her three children in her car on Thursday afternoon.
Benigna Pinedamata, 29, was arrested after she picked up her 5-year-old son from North East Elementary School on Albany Avenue in North Amityville at about 4:10 p.m.
Police said Pinedamata’s 1-month-old and 3-year-old sons were in her 2003 Land Rover Freelander as well.

After Pinedamata picked up her oldest son, she was stopped by an school administration official and security prior to exiting the parking lot, police said. The officials suspected her of being intoxicated and called 911, police said.
Pinedamata is charged with three counts of aggravated DWI with a child 15 years old or younger–a felony under Leandra’s Law–three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, DWI, circumvention of interlock device-operate without device and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle .

Pinedamata was held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
