UPDATE: 2 Dead in Wrong-Way DWI Crash in E. Farmingdale, Police Say
The head-on crash occurred on Route 109 Sunday night, police say.

Update 10:30 a.m. Monday: Krebser has died from her injuries at the hospital, police say.

A 70-year-old Islip woman was killed when her car was struck head-on by a drunk driver who was driving the wrong way on Route 109 in East Farmingdale Sunday night, police said.

According to police, Jeanne Grazia was driving her 2012 Kia Forte southeast on Route 109 when her vehicle was hit head-on by a 1991 Buick Regal that was heading northwest in the southeast lanes near Route 110 at about 11 p.m.
Grazia was transported to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the Buick, Susan Krebser, 46, of Levittown, was also transported to Nassau University Medical Center, where she was listed in serious condition.

Krebser was charged with DWI and was issued a field appearance ticket, police said. She will be arraigned at a later date.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash and has not been interviewed to contact Vehicular Crime Unit detectives at 631-852-6555.
