Seaford Woman Killed in Farmingdale Crash
Accident occurred on the Bethpage State Parkway Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities are investigating a three-car crash on the Bethpage State Parkway that killed a Seaford woman on Wednesday.
According to authorities, Kelly Georgens, 36, was driving a Honda Civic southbound on the Bethpage State Parkway when her vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck a Dodge pickup truck at 1:34 p.m.

Georgens was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge, Thomas Scaccia, 42, of Lindenhurst, and an 11-year-old passenger in his vehicle were taken to Nassau University Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

A third vehicle involved in the crash received minimal damage.
The crash caused the northbound and southbound lanes of Bethpage Parkway to temporarily close between Southern State Parkway and Hempstead Turnpike Wednesday.
Authorities are working to determine why Georgens entered oncoming traffic. Anyone with information on the incident can contact the New York State Police at (631) 756-3300.
