Police: Man Stole $40G from Freeport Employer
Man stole 20 payroll checks over the course of 11 months, cops said.

An East Meadow man was charged Tuesday with stealing payroll checks worth thousands of dollars from his employer, according to Nassau County Police.
Between Feb. 1, 2014 and Jan. 3, Christopher Kilkenny, 30, stole 20 payroll checks while working at EZ Bath Inc., detectives said.
After taking each check, Kilkenny prepared, cashed, and deposited the money into his personal business account, cops said. He also diverted online funds into his personal business account, police said.

In total, Kilkenny stole more than $40,000 from EZ Bath Inc., detectives said.
Officers said they found Kilkenny at his home Tuesday and took him into custody without incident.

Kilkenny was charged with 19 counts of possession of a forged instrument and third-degree grand larceny. He will be arraigned Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
