Tikkun Alliance of North Shore Holds Community Outreach
The group met to focus on tackling problems such as hunger, poverty, and the environment.

The Tikkun Alliance of the North Shore held its sixth annual “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” Community Outreach Program in Glen Cove.
The Tikkun Alliance of the North Shore (TANS) is a collaborative community effort formed to address issues affecting our world today with a focus on Tikkun olam (repairing the world). The endeavor includes tackling problems such as hunger, poverty, and the environment.
The outreach program held recently in Glen Cove is part of a Jewish Social Action Month grant partially funded by USA-Federation of New York. The Temples represented for this year’s program were CTI, Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation, Temple Judea, and Shelter Rock Jewish Center. Mayor Reginald Spinello is pictured among the Ttikkun Alliance volunteers behind City Hall.
