Game! Set! Match! Huntington to be Honored for Tennis Programs
Huntington will receive an award from the U.S. Tennis Association's Eastern Long Island Region later this month.

The Town of Huntington will be recognized by the U.S. Tennis Association’s Eastern Long Island Region for its many outdoor tennis programs.
Huntington will receive the Outdoor Site of the Year Award at USTA’s 25-year awards dinner on Saturday, April 28.
“Tennis is a popular recreational activity at Town parks, both for residents who want to take part in organized activities and those who merely want to play a few sets with friends,” said Huntington Supervisor Frank P. Petrone in a press release.

Huntington’s tennis programs include:
- Children’s tennis lessons
- Tennis squirts program for ages 4, 5 and 6
- Adult tennis classes
- Tennis workshops
- Clinic for high school students
- Match play
- Private lessons
“We are gratified that the USTA’s Eastern Long Island is recognizing the Town’s efforts to provide facilities and programs for tennis aficionados,” Petrone said.

The USTA Eastern Long Island Region organizes tennis programs in Nassau and Suffolk County and recognizes tennis facilities that bring recognition to the sport. The organization works to bring tennis to people of all ages and skill levels.
