  1. Thirteen Harborfields girls' spring track athletes earned medals in season opener. The student-athletes brought home a total of 14 medals at the Bay Shore Invitational. You can see what each athlete won in the article. (Huntington Patch)
  2. Arrests made from April 3-10 in Huntington released. A man stole three cars in a month and a half time frame, and a woman was arrested on numerous drug charges. You can read the full list of their charges in the link. (Huntington Patch)
  3. Town of Oyster Bay pet drive a success with over 300 pounds of food and supplies donated. "The drive focused on collecting food for our residents' pets through Baxter's Pet Pantry, which supplies free pet food and supplies to pet-owning families in need," a press statement read. "Town officials recognized residents for their generosity in donating over 303 pounds of pet food and supplies, which will, in turn, keep pets at home with their loved ones, well-fed, and out of shelters."   4. Renovated Huntington LIRR south parking lot reopens. "We are proud to deliver on this long-awaited renovation in the first few months of our administration, but the best is yet to come," Smyth stated. "We anticipate moving forward on more commuter infrastructure upgrades at the Huntington train station with recently approved grant funding. Thank you to Jim Ahrens and our Engineering team, our Highway Superintendent Andre Sorrentino and his team, the Departments of General Services and Transportation and Traffic Safety for all of their work to complete this project on a shoestring budget." An additional $4 million in state funding will be used for commuter upgrades. (Huntington Patch)
