Levittown Students Earn 14 Career, Tech Medals
SkillsUSA club enrolled at Gerald R. Claps Career and Technical Education Center.

SkillsUSA Club members enrolled at the Gerald R. Claps Career and Technical Education Center in Levittown acquired 14 medals at the Long Island regional competition for career and technical schools.
The competition gave the students an opportunity to test their skills against other career and technical education students from Long Island. In addition, the students met and networked with professionals and representatives from their related industries and tested their leadership potential through job demonstration and job interview contests.

The Gerald R. Claps Career and Technical Center is a unique school program dedicated to teaching comprehensive career and technical skills, along with qualifying academics, for students in the Levittown School District and neighboring districts. The New York State Department of Education-approved program provides hands-on learning, school-to-work experiences, and opportunities for professional growth in the areas of automotive technology, computer animation, cosmetology, culinary arts, electrical technology, graphic arts, medical assisting/healthcare and police science/EMT-B.
