Great Neck Library’s “The Great Give Back” Charity Drives

The Great Neck Library is hosting three donation drives this October as part of The Great Give Back, a statewide community service initiative created by the Suffolk County Public Library Directors Association and the Suffolk Cooperative Library System, in conjunction with the Nassau Library System. The mission of The Great Give Back is to provide a day of opportunities for the patrons of the Public Libraries of New York State to participate in meaningful, service-oriented experiences. Donations are accepted at all four of our Great Neck library locations.

Feminine Hygiene Drive

Community members are invited to drop off donations of feminine hygiene products at any of our four Library locations. At the end of the month, teen volunteers will assemble these items into kits, which will be distributed across various service points within the library system for anyone in need. We are currently accepting sanitary pads, liners, tampons, menstrual cups, and discs.

Diaper and Wipe Drive

Support Long Island families this October! Bring your extra diapers and baby wipes to any of our four branches. As port of our Great Give Back programming, all donations will be given to the Allied Foundation to Help local parents in need.

Sid Jacobson JCC Community Needs Bank Hygiene Drive

We are currently accepting donations of full-sized personal hygiene items, including hand soaps, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and women’s Depends (Sizes M/L/XL). All donations will directly benefit the Sid Jacobson JCC’s Community Needs Bank, which powers a vital network of local pantries and shelters across Roslyn Heights, Great Neck/Manhasset, Old Westbury, Port Washington, and Glen Cove. Your generosity ensures that our neighbors in need have immediate access to these essential everyday items.
