No. 73: Hold an Event at the Elk Lodge

is a fraternal organization dedicated to chartable causes. The hall of their Massapequa chapter, located at 2162 Veterans Blvd, is often used to host events to raise money for various non-profit organizations.

According to Richie Smith, the Elk's publicity chairman for the district, the Elks help the community in a variety of ways, including sponsoring student scholarships, drug awareness programs, and supports local veterans.

They often host plays, dinners, and the like, with the proceeds benefitting charities such as Cerebral Palsy.

However, that's not all that goes on at the Elks' hall: you can also rent out the hall yourself, if you just so happen to have an event coming up that your backyard just won't contain.

Capable of handling anywhere from 60 to 200 guests, the Elks' hall also comes complete with a professional chef and staff who can handle all your catering needs.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is an important part of the Massapequa community, and the next chance you get to support them, it's a good idea to do so.
